On Birthing Visions
Sarah Faupel
Just as a man and woman
consummate their love in an act that results in the passing of a seed to an
egg, so the result of the consummation of love between God and His beloved
bride grows to maturity and ultimately the birthing of the will of God or His
visions. God holds the seed of all our
hopes and dreams in Him and will implant them in our souls as we commune with
Him, such that His desires hopes and dreams would become ours. This is the deposit of God’s love to us that
He would actually entrust us with a precious seed of hope for the future with
which we are to then nourish and gestate until its birth.
We nurture this seed of
hope, the substance of things not seen, with our words of faith. The spoken
words are the way that this seed grows to maturity and is ready, then, to come
from spiritual to natural reality. On the contrary, we also have the choice to miscarry
or even abort these seeds of vision with words of fear and doubt. Just as a
child can be unwanted before his/her birth, resulting in a deliberate or
unpremeditated abortion, so can the will of God and all that He chooses for us.
We have an awesome responsibility of carrying this seed and co-laboring with
the Spirit of God in order to birth the reality of His Kingdom.
Paul said, “The Word is
near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (Romans 10:8). This is a reality
that we MUST learn if we are to fully cooperate with and live in the kingdom
while we yet walk in earthen vessels. To think that we have the privilege as
little “gods” (Psalms 82:6) to speak by the very Word who resides within us,
the reality of His will is an awesome thought. It’s a truth that the New Age
religion has stolen, twisted and perverted until most Christians would now consider
this to be nothing more than heresy; but it is the Word of God, made alive
within us by the power of the Holy Spirit, and without this truth, we cannot
establish the Kingdom as Christ did on earth. No wonder all thoughts must be
taken captive to the obedience of Christ! Life and death truly are in the power
of the tongue, yet we must love this truth to partake of it. We were made in
the image of God to be the mouthpieces of His spoken word, through which God
continues to birth and establish His will.
“Let the high praises of
God…forever be in our mouth and a two edged sword in our hand”….for the cutting
down and clearing away of the kingdom of darkness and the raising up of the
Kingdom of Light!! God’s Kingdom come, His will be done.
